Military Families

After working with the National Guard during the summer of 2008 during their reintegration weekends, HeartSprings got first hand knowledge of the stresses you face as you leave for war and as you return.   We know of your stress as you deploy and your leaving loved ones behind.  Or the stress you feel returning back home to a place that no longer doesn't seem to fit.  You might never have thought to use complementary therapies before, but they often "complement" or enhance the therapy, medication, or services you receive at the VA already.  In dealing with stress, I encourage you to try out our healing therapies, yoga and movement group, nordic walking and our mind-body groups. Click here for a Quick Fact Sheet about HeartSprings and its services and therapies.

Research is currently being done in complementary medicine and how they relate to post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or traumatic brain injury (TBI).  So "stay tuned" for a more comprehensive series to come to HeartSprings.  But, in the mean time, enjoy our services!  Click here for the comprehensive brochure about HeartSprings services for service members and their families!

Senior Concordia Nursing Students from the school of nursing at Concordia college in Moorhead, MN researched complementary therapy in regard to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), military sexual trauma, and traumatic brain injuries (TBI).  Click here to see their brochures they put together about these therapies!!
